Finally Moto makes a good decision! Recent news has surfaced that Google is about to buy Motorola Mobility and put in place a CEO of Googles choosing. Now this is all speculation but its looking likely as Google will aquire 17,000 patents in mobile technology and give them the freedom they've been looking for.

What does this mean for us?

It looks like we may see some policy change as Motorola has been a pain in the a$$ for their mobile phone users. Hopefully Google will get on the ball and make the Motorola droid handsets beloved once again.

For all the Droid Razr users out there, some discontent has gone around as a result of Moto failing to unlock their bootloaders but there are still some great things in the works for this beautifully thin and fast handset. CM9 (CyanogenMod 9) is under way in an altered form but an Alpha version can be flashed currently but no real development can occur until the bootloader is unlocked.

The only great thing coming to the Razr at the moment is the OTA updates that have been released to enhance 4G connectivity. Unfortunately with each of these, unless you some adjustments posted at XDA-developers, your phone will loose its root. As a result of this a new tool for the Droid Razr makes the rooting process a piece of cake so you never have to go without root again.

Check it out over at XDA.

Cheers

Big Moto and their scandalous ways are at it again

Information Concerning Rooted Users - DroidRzr.com:

So everyone who has an Android device must know that the customization possibilities are endless. Flashing different ROMs, hacking through system requirements, and getting around the way of the law are all things that many a developer have become quite keen to and for the most part have gone unnoticed... UNTIL NOW.

Recent reports show that Motorola now has the ability to tell whether or not anything has been done to handset that would void a warranty. This would include rooting, flashing, etc. Big Moto knows all! This is quite unfair as many have worked hard on providing stock ROMs and relockers to keep warranties from being void.

This is a heads up to all in the developer community who own Motorola handsets. Until a workaround has been found, root, flash, and most importantly don't look back. Enjoi
